I search
the innermost folds
of my mind
and can't remember
how I wound up
down here.
I was at the top
of the hill,
top of my game
and I stumbled
and fell hard.
There was no safety net.
What could I do?
except tumble
and fall,
crash and burn.
and I still can't get up.

unfortunataly,
in our society
a persons worth is not based on what heights they have attained
spiritually.
